UserDesk uses Microsoft’s standard OAuth with delegated permissions — User.ReadWrite.All, Directory.ReadWrite.All, and Group.ReadWrite.All. It acts on behalf of the signed-in user and never stores passwords or has standing access outside of active sessions.

Authentication is handled entirely by Microsoft’s OAuth flow, and tokens are encrypted in your browser’s session cookie — not on our servers.
